Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Home > Can MSM Cure Candida?

MSM is claimed to be beneficial for a variety of conditions, including Candida infections. However, there is no published research suggesting that MSM can cure Candida. Be sure talk to your healthcare provider if you have a Candida infection.

Curing Candida With MSM?

MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a dietary supplement claimed to work wonders for numerous different conditions, including Candida infections. Candida is a group of yeasts that can cause infections. When speaking of Candida, most people are referring to Candida albicans, the yeast responsible for vaginal yeast infections and thrush.

MSM and Candida Research

At this time, there is no published research that suggests that MSM can treat or cure Candida infections. Many Web sites claim that MSM can normalize the body's pH, thereby curing Candida. However, this claim has not been verified. Most of the time, Candida infections are easily treated with traditional antifungal medicines. If you are struggling with a Candida infection, please seek the advice of your healthcare provider, who can recommend a proven treatment. Also, if you suffer from frequent Candida infections, your healthcare provider may want to make sure there is not a medical reason for the frequent infections, such as HIV, AIDS, or diabetes.
